I was born and raised in Torquay, England. I moved over to the States in 1991, when I was 12 years old, and jumped right into 7th grade. I grew up as an mk & pk (missionary kid /pastors kid) in a great family. I went to Plumstead Christian School, northeast Philly, through Jr & Sr High and experienced lots of things. I was privileged to go on many Missions trips and was actively involved in youth group throughout High School. I was also involved in sports (soccer and tennis) and the arts (choral stuff and drama). My youth pastor had a huge impact in my own life and after being in the wrong crowd through most of these years, by my junior year of HS I finally got serious and began to consider where God was leading me? I decided to apply to Moody Bible Inst. and figured that if I got in, then that was certainly "of God" since it is so difficult. I was accepted and decided to go to Moody after I graduated HS in 1997. I went right in with a Youth Min./Urban missions double major and soon realized that the Urban Missions was not a "fit" for me.
At Moody I met my wife April, my second year there and we dated for 13 months then got engaged for 17 months. I finished Moody in 2001 and that summer I was married, and then stepped right into my first youth ministry pastorate in Aurora IL. We stayed there for one year and then moved to St Cloud, MN for the next 5 years of ministry. Our daughter, Emma was born there in 2005 and then in 2007 we moved to Williams Bay WI, where our second daughter, Hailey was born. In 2009 our third daughter, Kylie was born!!
We (April and I) love ministry, we love the Church, and we love teens! We love seeing teens grow deeper in their walk with Christ and come to realize the importance and passion needed to follow HIM. We have a passion for missions, worship and teaching and love to incorporate these into how God has equipped us to serve HIM.
